The Community College of Baltimore County on South Rolling Road in Catonsville, Maryland, serves as a public institution for general education, career programs, student support services, and economic and community development activities.

The college grants degrees in a wide range of disciplines through the School of Health Professions, the School of Applied and Information Technology and the School of Justice. For academically talented students, the college provides honors programs in various specialty areas. The college’s international education program offers study abroad, and student and faculty exchange programs. In addition, the college encourages students to take part in a variety of campus activities outside the classroom.

CCBC’s distance learning courses provide opportunities for students who cannot participate in regularly scheduled classes on campus. The courses are backed by video lessons, weekend classes and CCBC television that produces, transmits and downlinks programs related to the courses. In addition, the college offers more than 50 new and affordable online courses.

Near Wesley and on westward to the Talbot County Border is the old community of Daviston. The Ga Militia District for the area was named Daviston. The Post Office was located in LL 181 according to a deed from Perry Spencer (1861) to John Q. Adams.
