The university’s College of Arts and Sciences houses the department of Arts, English, and Humanities; Behavioral and Social Sciences; Biological Sciences; Mathematics; and Physical Sciences.

The College of Professional Studies includes departments such as Business Administration; Nursing; Education; and Allied Health. Additionally, it offers several associate degrees.

James C. Bolton Library at the campus offers a wide range of facilities and services. Career Services, Counseling Services, Duplicating Services, Computer Labs, Disability Services, and Testing Services are additional services.

To meet the educational, cultural, and social needs of students, the university promotes a number of organizations, clubs, and activities.

The Intramural Sports Program at LSUA offers intramural sports competition in a variety of sports. Grants, scholarships, work-study, and loan are offered in the form of financial aid. An outstanding collection of local, state, and regional art is exhibited in the university gallery.
