The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), an essential part of the growth and development of South Central Alaska for more 50 years, is the largest university in Alaska. The university runs eight teaching units at the main campus in Anchorage and five community campuses.

The university offers higher education opportunities to Armed Services personnel throughout the state of Alaska. The University of Alaska Anchorage is noted for its research, creativity, and service. The university offers training for Undergraduate Studies and Graduate Studies.

UAA provides opportunities to all who can benefit from educational programs of high quality in an inclusive environment rich in diversity. It is committed and uniquely situated to serve the needs of its communities and the state.

The Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholarship (OURS) at UAA is devoted to undergraduate accomplishment through inquiry, discovery, and creativity. The office serves as a venue of activity linking students to faculty across all disciplines and to the global community of scholars.

OURS supports a wide variety of research and presentation opportunities, including six campus-wide competitive awards programs throughout the entire academic year.

With an outstanding group of faculty members, the university strives to provide higher education for the students. The University of Alaska Anchorage is accredited by the Commission on Colleges and University of the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges.
