Benton County |
Benton County is best known as the home of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, which was instrumental in the building of the first atomic bomb. Two of the Tri-Cities are in the county: Richland and Kennewick. The county seat is Prosser, to the west on the Yakima River. Washington's Wine Regions extends through the county.
