Westcott Bay Orchards

Westcott Bay Orchards is a bonded winery that produces, “Vintage Cider”, a naturally fermented, full-bodied, bittersweet cider. They started planning and planting the orchard in the mid 1990's that replaces one of San Juan Island’s old orchards on Westcott Bay that dates back to the 1880’s.

The best apples for this style of cider are varieties classified as bittersharps or bittersweets, high in tannin and not particularly good for eating or culinary use. Currently the orchard consists of 16 varieties.

Cider goes well with light meals, pasta, fruit and cheese.
