The sign "Rest Awhile" was an invitation to stop and rest beside the river…and, of course, buy some fruit. Rest Awhile became the name of the stand.. We adopted the same name when we began selling from a picnic table in 1979. You are still encouraged to stop and use our picnic tables and rest rooms, or just stretch tired muscles, and change ... |
