Ranald McDonald's Grave State Park |
Ranald McDonald was the son of a Scotsman and Princess Raven, daughter of Chinook Indian Chief Comcomly. He was an adventurer and found his way into Japan in the mid-1800s. He died in 1894 at the age of 70. His grave is commemorated by this tiny park overlooking the Kettle River Valley just south of the Canadian border.
The park is actually a satellite park of Osoyoos Lake State Park.
The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
