Pierce National Wildlife Refuge |
The refuge consists of over 330 acres of habitat with wetlands, grasslands, and hardwoods. The primary wildlife found at this refuge are Canada geese and other waterfowl, a wide variety of upland birds, mammals, and one of the last remaining chum salmon runs on the Columbia River. It is presently closed to the public except as permitted by Special Use Permit.
The refuge is located adjacent to the Columbia River just east of Beacon Rock State Park, approximately 20 miles east of Washougal.
