Penrose Point State Park

Penrose Point State Park, Washington (State Parks) image This 152-acre park on the shores of Puget Sound has marine facilities and hiking trails, as well as camp sites, picnic tables, and a dump station.

Early Native American activity is evidenced by a petroglyph located on the spit in the inner cove.

The majority of the park is natural forest with a network of trails. The park was created out of a swamp, which is now the day-use area.

The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and includes about a quarter million acres. To make a reservation at more then 60 Washington state parks, contact Washington State Parks from May 15 to Sept. 15.
