|
The building that houses Selah Junior High School was opened in 1958. The student population today is around 600 in grades eight and nine. There are about 30 certified employees plus classified employees (custodians, secretaries, aides) and volunteers. Selah Junior High grew from its predecessor, Selah Middle School, in the fall of 1999. All 6th and 7th graders who used to attend SMS are now housed at the new Selah Intermediate School on Fremont Avenue. All 8th graders continue to be housed at Selah Junior High School, along with the 9th graders.
