Moran State Park |
The park has five freshwater lakes, many waterfalls, and over 30 miles of hiking trails. There is a stone observation tower built in 1936 atop Mt. Constitution (the highest point on the San Juan Islands), offering panoramic views of the surrounding islands, the Cascade mountain range and cities.
In addition the park features picnicking, camping, swimming, hiking, a boat launch, fishing and an Environmental Learning Center.
The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and includes about a quarter million acres. To make a reservation at more then 60 Washington state parks, contact Washington State Parks from May 15 to Sept. 15.
