Mima Mounds Natural Area Preserve |
The 445-acre preserve encompasses a curious topography of regularly spaced hills approximately 4-to 6-feet high.
An interpretive center details the natural history of the area and presents the various theories of the mounds' origin.
Self-guiding trails traverse the open prairie and forests; wildflowers are at their peak April through June.
The preserve is open all year.
