Mason County Historical Society

The museum is located in the historic old library building at Fifth Street and Railroad Avenue in downtown Shelton. This building, built in 1914 as a town hall and library, is on the National Register of Historic Places and is well suited to serve as a museum for Mason County.

The Fairgrounds Museum will continue to be open for special events, including Forest Festival, Mason County Fair, and Oysterfest. The exhibits feature logging, farming, and oystering, all important to the history of Mason County. Various rural 1930 exhibits are included.

This is just one of the many Historical Museums located throughout Washington.
