Lincoln Rock State Park |
Lincoln Rock was named after a prominent geological feature, visible across the river, which resembles the profile of Abraham Lincoln. It was photographed in 1889, and the picture was entered in a photograph contest of the "Ladies Home Journal" where it won first prize. Because of the Journal's nationwide circulation, the name of Lincoln Rock was adopted.
The park is on the east side of Lake Entiat, and features a wide variety of activities from water sports such as water skiing, jet skiing, sailing and windsurfing to biking, tennis and roller blading, to winter activities like cross country skiing.
