Juniper Dunes Wilderness |
Located 10 miles north of Levey, this wilderness is restricted, as the entire surrounding land is privately owned. To access the wilderness, permission must be granted by one of the landowners.
The terrain includes large sand dunes (some as high as 130 feet and 1,000 feet in width)and groves of western juniper, which provides habitat for mule deer, coyote, birds of prey and small rodents.
