Ione Washington |
Named for the Postmaster's daughter in 1902, Ione is a small Pend Oreille County town on the Pend Oreille River in scenic northeastern Washington. Until the late 1930s, lumber was an important industry for Ione; it had one of the largest mills in northeastern Washington.
