Chinatown International District

The International District is home to Seattle's Chinatown and the cultural and commercial center for the city's diverse Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. The district is perhaps the only area in the continental U.S. where Chinese, Japanese, Filipinos, African Americans, and Vietnamese settled and built a neighborhood together.

Now protected within a national and local historic district, many of the buildings date back to the early 1900s.

The community is nestled south of downtown Seattle, and is alive with history and culture.
