Indian Shaker Church |
This active church in Marysville was built in 1924 and is one of the best preserved churches in the region. The church is not open to the public except during church services.
The Indian Shaker religion is a hybrid of Catholic, Protestant, and Coast Salish beliefs. The religion is Christian-based, and many experience "shaking" to be proof of being seized by spirit. Indian Shaker religion is still practiced on many reervations today.
