Grays Harbor

Named for discoverer Captain Robert Gray, Grays Harbor is Washington's primary Pacific Ocean seaport. It contains the state's two largest coastal communities, Hoquiam and Aberdeen, and at its mouth are the fishing community of Westport and several oceanfront communities along its north spit, including Ocean Shores.

The harbor marks the southern boundary of the Olympic and Kitsap Peninsulas.

The Port of Grays Harbor is the economic engine of the region, receiving everything from cruise ships to wood-products cargo ships.
