Fort Walla Walla Pioneer Settlement |

Ransom Clark Cabin, built by a pioneer in 1859.
Pioneer Cabin, built from logs taken from an 1877 cabin
Union School, built just south of Dixie in 1867
Babcock Station, built on North Pacific line northwest of Walla Walla about 1880.
These and other buildings are in the Pioneer Settlement at the Fort Walla Museum. On display in Agricultural Building #3 is a large hill combine pulled by a team of 33 life-sized fiberglass mules, all fully harnessed and hooked up the famous "Shandoney" hitch that is driven by one man. The 33 mules were a donation of Carl Penner, who used such outfits in the Walla Walla area.
