Freeland Washington |
One of the Island County communities of Whidbey Island, Freeland was founded in 1900 by a group of socialites who formed a cooperative and purchased the land for the townsite. Today, this unicorporated town features a number of businesses, as well as beautiful Freeland Park - a beach park popular with clammers.
