Field Springs State Park

The park was named after Mr. Fields, an early settler who developed the spring used by settlers who came by to cut wood. It is situated on an Indian route from Oregon to Idaho, and the Indians would often stop in the area to dig roots.

The park is located in the Blue Mountains in southeastern Washington and offers spectacular views of three states and the Grande Ronde River. Some activities are camping, hiking, picnicking, and birdwatching as well as cross country skiing in the winter. The park is 4 miles south of Anatone and 28 miles south of Clarkston.

The Washington State Parks system includes more than 125 developed parks and covers about a quarter million acres.
