Darrington Washington |
Darrington is a community on the Sauk River, 29 miles east of Arlington in the northeastern corner of Snohomish County. The town was first established as a night camp for the wagon route linking the Monte Cristo mines to the Puget Sound area.
Hikers can reach Whitehorse Mountain, the site of one of the lowest elevation glaciers in the lower 48 states, just a short hike from town.
Darrington is part of the Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA metro area.
