Chetzemoka Park

The name of this park honors the local Indian leader who befriended Port Townsend's early settlers. Situated on 5+ acres of hillside overlooking Admiralty Inlet, the park has spectacular views of the Cascade Mountains.

The oldest park in Port Townsend and to many the most beautiful was established in 1904 as nearly 200 people gathered at the site to clear land for the community park. Now almost a century later, it boasts a rose garden and arbor, tropical water garden, picnic areas, play equipment, public restrooms, a bandstand, and easy access to a public beach.
