Allyn is situated on Case Inlet on Puget Sound. The community straddles Highway 3, which connects Shelton and Bremerton.
The Port of Allyn offers overnight moorage, a dock and a boat ramp on Hood Canal. The port has facilities separated by more than a hundred miles if traveled by boat.
