Lowell General Hospital is an independent, non-profit, community hospital, located at 295 Varnum Avenue in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Incorporated in 1891, this 200-bed facility is devoted to serving the Greater Lowell area and the surrounding communities. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

As the area's most trusted hospital, Lowell General specializes in a full continuum of medical and surgical services.

The cancer center excels in all aspects of medical oncology, gynecology, hematology, and radiation oncology services. It is one of the seven hospitals in the state to be honored with the accreditation of American College of Radiology. Complementary care programs and support services also are provided.

Lowell General Hospital is home to the area’s first Regional Cardiac Center and Catheterization Laboratory. It involves in diagnostic, rehabilitation, and education programs.

The hospital’s Pain Management Center, the first of its kind in the entire Merrimack Valley, has been serving the region for more than 25 years.

In addition, LGH offers outstanding orthopedic, pediatric, diagnostic, nutrition, wound care, and rehabilitation services.

Lowell General Hospital participates in a series of free or low-cost community education programs, screenings, and classes.

Facilities and amenities at the hospital campus include an ATM, gift shop, cafeteria, vending stations, and public restrooms. The hospital also provides interpreter, pastoral and case management services to patients and their families.

Further, Lowell General has two satellite facilities – the Surgery Center and Patient Services Center at Drum Hill, and the Women's Imaging Center in Chelmsford.
