Point Park University

Point Park is a small, private, accredited, liberal arts university situated in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The university, with an emphasis on career-based education, provides excellent opportunities for hands-on, real-world experiences through its various associate, bachelor and master's degree programs. Point Park University has four academic schools - Arts and Sciences, Business, Conservatory of Performing Arts, and Adult and Professional Studies.

Point Park University is accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Higher Education. Besides this, the University is also approved the by Pennsylvania Department of Education. Over 3200 students attend the various courses conducted by the university. The university lays emphasis on small class sizes and the student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1.

Business, Dance, Education and Community Services, Humanities and Human Sciences, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Media Production are some of the various academic departments of Point Park University. For high school juniors and seniors, as well as for transfer students, who plan to attend Point Park University on a full-time basis, an on-campus program known as "Open House" is available. To provide students with entry level career opportunities in the field of intelligence and national security, a degree program known as Bachelor of Science in Intelligence & National Security is designed by the university.

Point Park Children's School, one of the first centers accredited in 1987 by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, is the only accredited program in downtown Pittsburgh. The School of Adult and Professional Studies at Point Park University is dedicated to fulfilling the educational needs of adults with diverse professional backgrounds. The Conservatory of Performing Arts, being one of the top programs of its kind in the nation, combines hands-on performance experience and rigorous training with internationally recognized master teachers, directors and choreographers.

Point Park University provides services to international students through the Office of International Student Services and Enrollment. Support for admission and scholarship processing for international students are facilitated at the office.
