Yaquina Bay State Park |

Standing in Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site on Highway 101 at the North end of the Newport bridge, the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse operated for only three years from 1871 to 1874 before being replaced by the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, farther north and in a better location.
The 40-foot tower with decorative light rises from a Cape Cod style house, one of the few Pacific Coast lighthouses built with the lightkeeper's quarters in the same building as the tower. The lighthouse has been restored and is open to the public.
