Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery

Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery is located on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, on the Warm Springs River, a tributary of the Deschutes River. The hatchery is operated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and is managed in cooperation with the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, who have sole management responsibility for fishery resources on the reservation.

Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery is one of the first facilities to balance a program of hatchery production while maintaining abundant, self-sustaining runs of naturally-occurring species. The hatchery provides a safe environment for the development of eggs, fry, and fingerlings. The hatchery rears about 1,200,000 spring chinook annually.

The Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery is open daily. Display and fish viewing are popular, and environmental education tours are available by appointment.
