Established in 1980, independently owned Twenty-Third Avenue Books is located in the Nob Hill district of Northwest Portland, across from Good Samaritan Hospital. The bookstore is noted for its unique inventory of new fiction, classics, mysteries, and gay/lesbian fiction. Open seven days a week. Twenty-Third Avenue Books also sponsors numerous literary readings each month.
