Terrebonne Oregon

The town of Terrebonne is located in Deschutes County just north of Redmond along US Highway 97.

This community was originally named "Hillman," formed by combining parts of the names of James J Hill and E H Harriman. These men were like many others in the U.S. for this era, "railroad magnates", who raced to build the first rail connection to Bend. It was later changed to Terrebonne, from the French words meaning "good earth."

Popular attractions which involve many Outdoor Activities include the Deschutes National Forest (to the west), Ochoco National Forest (to the east), as well as the beautiful and majestic Deschutes River.
