Salmon Butte Trail #791 |
The 9-mile Salmon Butte Trail, in the Salmon Huckleberry Wilderness, climbs through beautiful forests to the summit of Salmon Butte. Views of the Salmon River and Roaring River Valleys are below, and Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson, and Mt. St. Helens are also viewed in the distance. Visitors in June will be rewarded with amazing displays of wild rhododendron. For more information contact the Zigzag Ranger District.
