Rock Creek Reservoir

This segment of the Barlow Road was operated as a toll road from 1846 to 1852 by Barlow and two of his sons. The Gate Creek toll station is nearby, and the Barlow Road hiking segment begins here.

A wayside exhibit, west of Wamic on Forest Service Road 48, describes the history of travel on the Barlow Road from wagons to motor vehicles.

There is also a campground here with 33 sites for tents and RVs up to 18 feet. Contact the Barlow Ranger District for more information.
