North Portland |
North Portland might better be called Northwest Portland, except that that designation has been given to the area west of the Willamette River and north of Burnside. North Portland occupies high ground above the Willamette, sloping gradually into wetlands towards the Columbia. The most prominent features are the University of Portland, Jantzen Beach Shopping Center, and St Johns Bridge.
