The museum is located in Polk County, about 16 miles southwest of Salem at the beautiful Western Oregon University. The museum is the only one of its kind on the West Coast devoted to collecting, preserving, and teaching about Arctic culture and ecology. This is an engaging museum for both young and old. Besides tours given by trained docents, the museum has videos and hands-on activities.

Admission is by donation by visitors.

The Jensen Arctic Museum sponsors many special events. Contact the museum to obtain a current schedule. The museum's gift shop offers you the opportunity to take Arctic information and souvenirs home with you.
