Paul Jensen Arctic Museum3000 Years of Arctic Survival |
Paul Jensen Arctic Museum provides visitors with more than 3,000 cultural items of the people living above North Latitude 66 degrees. The museum is located in Polk County, about 16 miles southwest of Salem at the beautiful Western Oregon University. The museum is the only one of its kind on the West Coast devoted to collecting, preserving, and teaching about Arctic culture and ecology. This is an engaging museum for both young and old. Besides tours given by trained docents, the museum has videos and hands-on activities.
Admission is by donation by visitors.
