Milton-Freewater Oregon

Oregon's Apple Capital

Located on Oregon Hwy 11 in the northeast part of Umatilla County, Milton-Freewater is 27 miles northeast of Pendleton and 10 miles south of Walla Walla, Washington.

The towns of Milton and Freewater incorporated separately in the late 1800's and merged in 1950 to become the town of Milton-Freewater.

A community of only 6,560 people, it offers an excellent school system, a host of clubs and service organizations, many churches and is surrounded by orchards, wheat fields and vineyards set against the beautiful Blue Mountains. It is not only an ideal place to locate light industry, but an excellent place to retire as well.

Milton-Freewater has 53 acres of parks, an 18-hole executive golf course, aquatic center, tennis courts, racquetball courts and a 4 1/2 acre sports complex containing baseball, softball and soccer fields.
