Mill City Oregon |
Mill City is located on Highway 22 southeast of Salem, about 20 miles upstream from Stayton and Sublimity along the North Santiam River. While being situated on both sides of the river, Mill City is in both Linn County and Marion County. This community is also found north of the Santiam State Forest near Detroit.
A wrought iron railroad bridge that spans the river and once carried trainloads of lumber is now a pedestrian bridge.
Popular attractions throughout the surrounding area include hunting/camping within the Mount Hood National Forest & Willamette National Forest, as well as a variety of fishing in the North Santiam River and Detroit Lake.
There is also a Mill City, Nevada.
