Blue Mountain Hospital is a community-supported general hospital and as such, patients will experience small town care which ensures that everyone receives the personal care and attention needed.
This facility is a 39 bed hospital in John Day and a 52 bed nursing home in Prairie City. John Day currently has five family practice physicians, a surgeon, and a physician's assistant. They participate in the Oregon Health Sciences University Family Practice Residency program, which rotates residents and interns through this community on a regular basis.
