McNary Wildlife Nature Area |
Of all the Habitat Management Units of the McNary project, the McNary Wildlife Nature Area is closest to the dam. Located just downriver, the area contains numerous ponds and a swift-running stream. Trails crisscross the area, providing access for fishing, hiking, birdwatching, and guided nature walks. No hunting is allowed, ensuring ample opportunity to see wildlife while walking the trails.
