Step back in time and view exhibits of Salem and Marion County history, beginning with the Kalapuya Native Americans of the Willamette Valley. You'll see an authentic Kalapuya canoe and basketry over 125 years old. In addition, there are exhibits of pioneer life, farms, schools, and the typewriter's amazing effects on offices and businesses. And if you'd like to delve more deeply into the past, you can use their research library and archives, or buy a book from their bookstore.

Special Programs and Activities:
Interesting speakers, cleasses and fun activities for young and old are sponsored by the Marion County Historical Society. Educational kits are available for loan to teachers. Contact the Marion County Historical Society for details.

This is just one of the many Historical Museums located throughout Oregon. Hours are 10am - 4:30pm Tuesday-Saturday.
