Located in the Mount Hood National Forest in Hood River County. Lost Lake is south of Cascade Locks, northwest of Mount Hood and north of Zigzag. Hiking, Fishing, Camping and Birds are all popular activities.

There are two ways to get to Lost Lake from Portland. Use Highway 26 to the town of Zigzag. Turn north on Lolo Pass Rd/FSR 18. The alternate route is Interstate 84 to Hood River. Go south 12 miles on Highway 35; Go west on Woodworth Dr. to the Dee Highway, (Also known as Tucker Rd.), making a right turn follow to Dee. Then take Lost Lake Road which changes to FR-13 to the lake. Visitors will find a store and plenty of parking.

Enjoy the easy hike around the Lost Lake hiking loop. The well maintained trail is about 3 miles long and takes about 11/2 hours. You can pickup the loop trail at several places around the lake. The lake shore offers wonderful scenery and a view of majestic Mt. Hood. A campground is on the East side of the lake.
