Lewis & Clark Expedition

Many Oregon Locations

The Lewis and Clark Expedition crossed from St Louis, MO to the Pacific Ocean. They followed the Columbia River downstream in the fall of 1805, wintered at Fort Clatsop National Memorial, and returned upstream in the spring of 1806. The locations of their campsites are well known, due to the detailed diaries that were kept. They stayed on both the Washington and Oregon sides of the river.
