Lane Community College |

A long-term leader among the nation's two-year institutions, Lane Community College has the third-largest headcount enrollment among the state's colleges and universities. Two thirds of its 33,000 students are part-timers, most of whom combine school and work.
Lane was founded in 1964, the main campus opened in 1968, and its history is closely tied to the needs of the community. LCC represents Oregon in the League for Innovation in the Community College, the most prestigious consortium among two-year colleges. National studies place LCC among the top five community colleges nationwide.
Lane offers career training in 40 professional and technical areas, lower division transfer courses in most professions and skill upgrading for those already employed.
LCC also provides athletics, giving scholarships in basketball, track/cross country and other sports. Excellence continues at Lane Community College at Florence, where an extension campus is available for completion of general classes.
