Ladybug Theater |
Ladybug Theater performs fairy tales with a twist for children and adults alike. Its productions, with actors from 11 to 70 years old, include improvisation and audience participation. Productions on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. are geared for preschool children. Family shows on some weekends vary from casual to original musicals.
Formerly housed at Oaks Amusement Park, it is now presenting shows in the SMILE building at 8210 SE 13th Ave., just south of Tacoma Street in Sellwood. The theater also offers acting and drama classes taught by the troupe's actors for children from ages 3-13.
Older children create their own characters, plot and dialogue with the help of Ladybug actors.
