Gutenberg College |
Gutenberg College in Eugene, Oregon, is a four-year liberal arts college providing a broad-based education in a Protestant Christian environment. Its "Great Books" curriculum emphasizes the development of basic learning skills (reading, writing, mathematics, and critical thinking) and the application of these skills to profound writings of the past.
The College's course of study centers around the discussion of these works rather than the "traditional" lecture format. In addition, to ensure a well-rounded education, Gutenberg includes classes in math, science, and languages.
Gutenberg College is housed in a beautiful 17,000-square-foot brick building built in 1939 as a sorority. The building also houses McKenzie Study Center, the Puccinelli Art Gallery, and sixteen to twenty residents, who reside in separate halls for men and women.
Eugene is located in Lane County.
