Southwestern Oregon Community College |
Southwestern Oregon Community College is located in Coos County, two miles from the [pacocean] in an area of scenic beauty and mild climate. The 153-acre institution lies completely within the city of Coos Bay and is bordered on the north and east by sister city North Bend.
Enrollment has grown from 266 students in 1961 to over 11,000 students. Staff size has grown from 15 to more than 80 full-time faculty and from 11 to over 275 part-time instructors.
Areas of study are varied and include Horticulture, Machine Tool Technology, Forensics and Surgical Tecnology.
SWOCC offers athletic scholarships in basketball, baseball, track/cross country andother sports.
