Surrounded by the rugged mountains, rivers, and lakes of Jackson County, the beautiful 175-acre campus of Southern Oregon University is home to 5,500 students from around the world. They are a four-year University specializing in Liberal Arts, Sciences and select Graduate and Professional programs, offering 100 areas of study including 35 majors in the school of Arts and Letters, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Business. They are located 15 miles from the California border in Ashland.
Ashland plays host to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Britt Music Festivals, Mount Ashland Ski Area and an independent film festival.
SOU offers athletic scholarships in football, basketball, track/cross country and other sports. Student housing is available for 1037.
