Hatfield Marine Science Center |
Operated by Oregon State University, the Hatfield Marine Science Center provides public education as well as scientific research. The center is located across Yaquina Bay from downtown Newport. Besides the research facilities, the center operates an aquarium that is open to the public.
The center houses the Oregon Sea Grant program of OSU, with Jay L. Rasmussen as its associate director.
HMSC produces tide tables for Newport.
