Highrock Springs Campground On the Mt. Hood Loop Trail. A part of the Oregon Cascades Birding Trail.

Highrock Springs Campground is in the Mount Hood National Forest, in the Clackamas River Ranger District. A no-fee campground with six campsites. Access from Government Camp on Highway 26, go east for 12 miles, then go west on Forest Service Road 42, (Skyline Rd.), for 5 miles, then go west on Forest Service Road 58 for 15 miles to Highrock Springs and Campground. Visitors will have a great view of Mount Hood and wildflowers in late summer.

Birders may see sapsuckers, Black-backed and Three-toed Woodpeckers and the infrequent Spotted Owl. Contact the Clackamas River Ranger District for more information.
