Heceta Head Lighthouse State Park |
Heceta Head State Park, which includes Devils Elbow State Park, is located just 12 miles north of Florence. There are plenty of picnic tables available, and a short trail leads visitors to the historic Heceta Head Lighthouse and lightkeeper's house.
Heceta Head Lighthouse is one of the most photographed on the coast. The light is seen 21 miles from land, and is rated the strongest light on the Oregon coast.
The historic lightkeeper's house offers bed and breakfast accommodations and facilities for special events. Visitors to the park enjoy whale watching, bird watching, tidepooling, and building sandcastles at the sheltered beach.
